to fear the Lord

This has got to be one of the most misinterpreted and misunderstood phrases in the bible. Psalm 34:9 "Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him." I remember this being one of my "hang ups" with Christianity. I couldn't imagine trying to love a God that I had to be afraid of. Can you imagine wanting your children to fear you? I would ask everyone in any kind of church authority what it means to fear the Lord and as you can imagine I heard so many different interpretations and none of them were correct. The one that I held onto the longest was, "it is more of a reverential fear or a respect". That sounds nice and we should respect our God, no question about that!! But that is not at all what it means to fear the Lord. It also does not mean, "He created you and He can easily remove you if He chooses". This one put me in a legalistic fear of God. I would constantly be in fear that if I did something wrong we was going to zap me from heaven. When I finally decided there was no way to make and keep this fickle god happy I gave up. I'm sure you have your own stories and interpretations as well.

Proverbs 8:13 says, "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way, and the perverse mouth I hate". In our modern day society and church the lines of evil are constantly being blurred. And many times to a point where believers end up embracing evil. We are so careful not to offend someone that we make exceptions and accept the lies of this world. I'm about to get real here and some of you are not going to like this BUT before getting offended hear me out and then pray about it. Ask for truth because you need to understand this. Proverbs 9:10 says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy is understanding". In order to walk in wisdom and understanding you have to first have the foundation of the fear of the Lord, know what evil is and you have to hate it.

There is something very big going on right now in our culture. There is a shift happening. I believe for those that love the Lord and are diligently seeking Him, He is giving wisdom and through His word they are finding knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6 says, "For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." And those who are choosing to follow the world are becoming more and more hardened and blind to the truth. John 14:17 "Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." There is one who hates our Lord and truly hates you. 1 Peter 5:8 says, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" Now is a time in which we need to be vigilant (wide awake, alert and on the look out for danger)! In John 10:10 Jesus warned us, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." I see too many believers so caught up in the busyness of this world, the day to day tasks and their own sickness and disease that they are not alert. Though they may see some evils they ignore them or turn a blind eye because it is not something they are doing. However as you've been busy with life this thief has come in as a wolf in sheeps clothing and has been stealing from you and leading you into making unknown lies truths.

Though this issue I'm going to bring up is only 1 of many it is an issue where you are about to lose a very big freedom that I'm sure you had no idea was even on the chopping block. Lets talk about abortion. Knowingly and willingly taking the life of an innocent baby in the name of women's rights. Genesis 2:7 says, "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Psalm 139: 13 & 14 says, "For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well". "You formed my inward parts", "man became a living soul" these clearly show that it is God who forms every precious life. It is not the woman or a woman's body, it is God! Every child is precious to Him and in the womb created as a living soul. He has predestined, called and justified each and everyone of us. "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" -Romans 8:29-31! So I have to ask you, if life, every life is precious to our God, do you hate abortion? I'm not talking about hating the people involved in abortion but hating the act of abortion. Do you hate it? If you say no then according to scripture you do not fear the Lord and lack wisdom. I know that is hard to hear and I don't mean to offend anyone but I'm sharing truth. It is up to you to receive it or reject it. If you say you do hate abortion let me ask you this, are there any exceptions that make abortion ok? Rape, incest? Still say it's not ok? What about for medical advancements? Do you know that vaccines are produced using aborted fetal tissue? Now I've had some say that it is the same aborted fetus for all vaccines or that they aren't killing babies for every new batch of vaccines. For instance the DTp vaccine is grown in a medium using human diploid cells (cells containing two sets of chromosomes) derived from the normal lung tissues of a 14-week-old male fetus aborted for "psychiatric reasons" in 1966. So some argue that its not that bad because the vaccines given today are from the same fetus from 1966. My question is with over 300 vaccines in the line up waiting for approval right now, the who knows how many that have already been thrown out and the endless number that are to come, is that the only aborted fetus that has been , is being or will be used? Absolutely not. Aborted fetal tissue is bought and sold for medical and scientific research all day long. This 14 week old baby boy is just one of many. Is that an acceptable exception to you? If it is, then according to scripture you do not fear the Lord and lack wisdom.

Do you know that DNA from not only the aborted fetuses but also the various animals used is found in the vaccines? "When foreign DNA is injected into humans, the body’s immune response is to attack that foreign DNA. When that foreign animal DNA attaches to the human cells, the immune response includes attacking its own cells. Animal DNA or foreign fetal cell DNA in vaccines can also be taken up by an individual and recombined into their DNA. Also, according to Helen Ratajczak, a former senior scientist at a pharmaceutical firm, there is a link to brain damage and human DNA in vaccines." You cannot hate abortion and at the same time embrace or trust in vaccines. If you are as shocked to learn this as I was 12 years ago then you can see why we are told to be sober and vigilant!

There is something else I need to share. In the last couple of years there has been an awakening of people learning these truths and stepping away from vaccines and because of that the vaccine industry and CDC are stepping out with all hands on deck to push an agenda that will remove your freedom to make this important decision for yourself and your children. At both the state and federal level there is legislation being presented to take away religious, philosophical and in some areas even medical exemptions as well as to force mandatory vaccinations for everyone. That means everyone must be caught up, up to date and unable to refuse any current or future vaccines no matter what they may be. If there was ever a time for the church to stand up and join together it is now. First and foremost we need to know the names and stance of our local legislators, school board members and state and federal leaders and be praying for them by name. 1 Timothy 2: 1-2, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." Next, we have to exercise our authority! We have to know that our government works for us not the vaccine industry, lobbyists or anyone else. And we have been give authority of this world. We need to be calling our state and federal law makers and requesting them to line up with our beliefs. We are not to vote people into office and then toss our arms in the air and have to submit to their wishes.

Brothers and sisters, friends, I urge you to get involved. If you fear the Lord and walk in wisdom then I know you agree with me and hate this evil! If you are a believer and think I am way off on this topic than I implore you to seek wisdom. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth. Don't be too offended or hard hearted to seek out the truth in this area. If you are right then fine but what if you're not? Do you not want to have the wisdom, knowledge and understanding that this world cannot know? I will leave you with Proverbs 4:7, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding."
