Good News

Friends I've got good news for you! Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse FOR US (Galatians 3:13)! On the cross He became the curse. Every open wound across His back bore every sickness, disease and pain FOR YOU. 1 Peter 2:24 says, "He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness. "By His wounds you WERE healed." Your sins and the punishment for your sins have been paid for in full so that you can live in right standing with God (righteousness) and therefore live in the blessing of Abraham and receive the Spirit of God to live and move and have His being in us.

There is a lot of awful stuff listed under the curse of the law (and you can find all of it listed in Deuteronomy 28) including all kinds of sicknesses, diseases and plagues. But let me just take you to Deuteronomy 28: 61 that says, "Also EVERY sickness and EVERY plague which is not written in the Book of the Law will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed". Just a side note, the word, "every" also includes C0V19. If you can't find the sickness, autoimmune disease, mental or physical defect, virus, cancer, pain ect... that you are worried about or dealing with listed prior to verse 61, 61 sums it all up for us. Any and every other sickness that has and will exist is covered. Have you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior? God is no longer imputing the punishment for sin on His children because Jesus paid it for us. If He is your Lord and Savior then your sins and the punishment have been paid. What you are experiencing in sickness is a lie that you received out of ignorance of the truth. It is the truth that you know that sets you free (John 8:32). And whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36)!! Praise God! Friends, you do not have to fear a virus or cancer or heart disease. You need to know the truth about who God says you are, who you have been reborn to be. In who's likeness you were reborn into! 2 Corinthians 3:17-18, "Now the Lord is the Spirit, And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty. But we all, seeing the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, as in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory by the spirit of the Lord." If you read the verses before these Paul is explaining the Book of the Law (the old covenant, the Book of Moses, the letter that kills). He explains how the Israelites minds were blinded and that the same veil remains in our hearts today when we don't realize that the veil was done away with in Christ. But when you turn to the Lord that veil is removed, the Spirit enters in and because He is in you you are free! Even in the midst of everything happening in the world today you can be at peace. You are no longer a slave to fear as the world is. The Spirit is peace therefore you can't help but be at peace. His perfect love for you casts out all fear. If you are in fear the antidote is not a mask or a vaccine or a cure or anything else the world has to offer. No, the antidote is the LIVING, ACTIVE WORD OF GOD. It is learning through His word of His great love for you. Grasping the magnitude of the curse that He has redeemed you from is a great place to start. Oh how great is His love for us. If only you will believe. "Awaken, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light."- Ephesians 5:14

I'm not telling you not to wear a mask or take a prescribed medication. If you are in fear then wear it but don't stay there. Get into the word and allow it to transform you from the inside out and know that where you are right now is not where He is leaving you. It is not where He desires for you to stay. There is more He wants to reveal to you and bring you into but you have to turn off your tv, tune out the world and tune into His word.

The Great Defender

Anyone else need some encouragement this morning? 2 Chronicles 20!! I heard the other day from someone who studies out the bible in intensity that throughout the scripture there are repeating themes.

A repeat of history?

There is an awesome story in 2 Chronicles 13 that I want to share with you. I just can't help but feel like it is a reflection of this moment we are currently living in. Sometimes it is almost painful
