You will be known by your fruit
Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of His disciples, And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which he do hear and see: The blind recieve their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. Matthew 11:2-6

John's disciples left and Jesus turned to the crowd to further confirm who John is and to show the fulfillment of scripture. Elijah was to return before the Christ.
For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if he will recieve it, this is Elijah, which was for to come. He that hath ears let him hear. Matthew 11:13-15
Jesus then confirms to the crowd who He is. Versus 18 and 19 say, "For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil. The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of public and and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children." I like the CJB translation of this that says, "...Well, the proof of wisdom is in the actions it produces." Wisdom comes from God. Proverbs 2:6 says, "For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." Out of the His word, the word that we have.
2 Timothy 3 talks about the perilous times to come where men will be lovers of themselves, proud, unthankful among many others things but I want to draw your attention to 2 verses here 2 Tim. 3: 5 that says, "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. And verse 7 that says, "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. These are those who reject the Holy Spirit and the power of the Spirit. Many acknowledge the Holy Spirit in the way of the comforter as talked about in John 14:16 but completely reject him as the Spirit of truth, power, counselor, wisdom, knowledge and understanding of good and evil or right and wrong. When fear and anxiety come people run to a doctor for a quick medical fix but never acknowledge the Spirit of peace, love and a sound mind living in them. When hurts of the past rear up they seek a medication or worldly therapist and reject the living comforter and great counselor living in them. They seek all the knowledge and wisdom of this world but reject that of the ALL KNOWING Spirit of God. Always learning but never coming to truth. The truth is always going to be scripture. There is always going to be provoking science (the best of mans understanding at the time) on both sides of every issue but if not taken back to the Word of truth then it is a rejection of the Spirit. Isaiah 11: 2-3 says, "And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest on him (Jesus), the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord..." "The fear of the Lord" confuses a lot of people but Proverbs 8:13 explains it plainly. It says, "To fear the Lord is to hate evil." It is an understanding of good and evil and right and wrong and choosing good and rejecting evil. Proverbs 9:10 says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. It all starts with the word of God and acknowledging the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, in John 16:13-15, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me (with fruit and action): for he shall recieve of mine, and shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you."
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. - 2 Tim. 3:16-17
When you recieve Christ your spirit man is made righteous. It is clean and pure and in the likeness of Christ. (Romans 3:22 And 5:1-11). Not so much the flesh though. That is why we have to renew our minds daily. The spirit is ready but the flesh is weak.- Matthew 26:41
In acts 2 the disciples recieve the Holy Spirit and the power to continue the works they did while Jesus was with them. Peter goes on to preach and says, "Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Acts 2:28-29 If you have received Christ and been baptized you have received the gift of the Holy Spirit!! Do not continue in ignorance of the Spirit by rejecting him and his leading in your life. Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12 It is because Jesus went to the Father that he was able send his Holy Spirit who now resides in everyone of us who believe. While Jesus walked this earth the Spirit came and went but now he does not leave us. This is how we have the ability to do even greater things than Jesus did. It is not by our power or authority but that of Jesus Christ through his Spirit living, moving and working in us. Why do we not vaccinate, because science and facts show it is neither safe nor effective but more importantly because we have not been given a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7), because we have been set free from the curse of the law (sickness, disease, lack, etc... Deut. 28) because Jesus bore all our sickness in the wounds on his back (1 Peter 2:24) and because we know that we have the command and promise by Jesus to lay hands on the sick and they will recover (Mark 16:18). Anyone who tells me this is stupid has rejected the Spirit of truth and is lacking understanding. I will not judge but I will pray for you.
Just as the wisdom or presence of the Spirit of God on Jesus was known by the actions it produced so are we. I share again, Matthew 11:19 Well, the proof of wisdom is in the actions it produces."
I will leave you with this... If ye continue in my word, then ye are my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. - John 8:31-32
